Deutches Haus Ho Chi Minh Stadt joined Deutschlandfest 2015 in Hanoi

Dr. Norbert Lammert, President of the German Bundestag visits with other members of the German parliament the Deutschlandfest 2015 in Hanoi and had a first-hand look at the progress and development of Deutsches Haus in Ho Chi Minh City

On the occasion of the 132nd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Dr. Norbert Lammert, President of the German Bundestag and 9 other members of the German parliament visited Hanoi from 27th of March till 30th of  March 2015

The IPU seeks to encourage democracy, peace and cooperation through dialogue between the legislative bodies of the world. One of the main focuses of this year’s conference in Hanoi was the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) that will be considered for adoption this fall. Dr. Lammert expressed his enthusiasm, saying that he was “excited to see that collectively all the nations wanted to work together to ensure a sustainable and equitable future.”

On Saturday 28th March 2015, prior to the IPU opening ceremony, President Dr.Norbert Lammert and German Ambassador Mrs. Jutta Frasch opened the annual Deutschlandfest in Hanoi. This year’s event was organized to especially honor the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany.

Dr.Norbert Lammert and the delegation of German parliamentarians together with German Ambassador Jutta Frasch took their time to visit the booth of Deutsches Haus. Mr. Elmar Dutt, Senior Director Marketing & Communications of Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh Stadt, used the opportunity to brief and update President Dr. Norbert Lammert on the model of Deutsches Haus about the architectural energy-efficient design and development progress.

 Around 10000 people turned up at the 4th. Deutschlandfest this year in Hanoi. The booth and display of Deutsches Haus attracted a lot of visitors who were interested in its true to scale model which has been presented the first time in Hanoi.  Mr. Dutt introduced Deutsches Haus to the interested public and media that Deutsches Haus is much more than just the symbol of the strategic partnership and friendship between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, but the hub and gateway for German and Vietnamese companies for the ASEAN market and the European Union beyond bilateral business, investment and trade. Furthermore he emphasized that Deutsches Haus will be the most energy-efficient and sustainable premium office building in Vietnam and the region featuring the latest German building technologies.
