Today, May 31, 2023, Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City, together with AHK Vietnam, welcomed the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Myanmar for their first visit to the AHK Vietnam Office on the occasion of the appointment to the new Chief Representative of AHK Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos – Mr. Marko Walde.

GERMANY’S HISTORICAL OPPORTUNITY IN ASIA

Currently, the works are still performed around the clock on a daily basis. There’s a hectic bustle at the construction site of Deutsches Haus in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, the former Saigon. Elmar Dutt, Marketing-Manager of Deutsches Haus, is wearing a helmet and protective footwear to lead the tour through the construction site and enthuses: “This will be a lighthouse project for the entire region.” The team of star architect Meinhard von Gerkan has developed a unique, energy-efficient 25-storey high-rise building.

DEUTSCHE BANK EXPECTS VIETNAM’S ECONOMIC GROWTH TO ACCELERATE IN 2017

Deutsche Bank Senior Economist Ms. Juliana Lee said: “Vietnam is expected to post a stronger GDP growth of 6.4% in 2017, up from 6.2% in 2016, supported by a sustained recovery in agriculture and exports. We also see Vietnam remaining on the path of reform to improve its long-term growth potential.”
